This report provides a summary of the local landscape at a snapshot in time to provide a clear picture of conditions in Edwardsville today, including an understanding of the City’s previous planning efforts; demographic trends; existing land use patterns; market trends; and an assessment of local transportation systems.

Community Engagement Summary
Engagement with the community is an integral component of the comprehensive planning process. Community engagement provides a platform for a representative planning process in which all voices within a community have the opportunity to be heard. Engaging the community helps planners understand what is most important to residents. Through methods like surveys, interviews, and public meetings, planners can identify and prioritize the needs, aspirations, and challenges that matter most to the community.
